رئيس شركة Valve لا يحبذ الحصريات للواقع الافتراضي / Prime Valve Company did not favor Alhbarat virtual reality

هذا العام شهد انطلاق خوذة الواقع الافتراضي Oculus Rift وخوذة Vive من شركة HTC، كما سيشهد انطلاق خوذة Playstation VR التي يُتوقع لها أن تُسيطر على هذا السوق الناشىء بفضل السعر المتوازن (400$) وكثرة العناوين الحصرية مع دعم سوني للخوذة. الشركات المنتجة للواقع الافتراضي مثل أوكيولس أفصحت عن نواياها مبكراً وقامت بعقد العديد من الصفقات الحصرية، الأمر الذي جعلها تتلقى انتقادات عديدة.

أحد الأشخاص الذين انتقدوا الحصريات للواقع الافتراضي هو السيد Gabe Newell رئيس شركة Valve التي تملك متجر Steam الرقمي على الحاسب الشخصي. جاب نويل ذكر بأن هذه الحصريات غير مفيدة لا للمستهلكين ولا للمطورين، إلا أنه يعلم جيداً مدى الخطورة الاقتصادية على المطورين الذين يدعمون منصة ناشئة، ولذلك فإن Valve توفر الدعم المالي لمطوري ألعاب الواقع الافتراضي، ولا تقوم بإجبارهم على استهداف أي منصة، آملة بهذه الخطوة أن تقلل الخطورة على المطورين، وبالتالي التقليل من الحصريات وتوزيع التجارب حتى تصل إلى أكبر عدد ممكن من المستهلكين.
